Mower dirt removal feature removes dirt
build-up under fence lines
HEMPSTEAD,
TEXAS December 23, 2005 - Fence Mower,
the first heavy duty PTO driven mower
designed to automatically mow under fence
lines is now equipped with an enhanced
dirt-removal attachment. Fence lines that
have not been maintained over the years
often accumulate ridges of soil and dirt
build-up as a result of weather and livestock
activities. This dirt build up makes it
virtually impossible to mow or maintain
the fence row. In the past, knocking down
the old fence and buying a new fence was
the only option.
The
dirt removal attachment is bolted to the
Fence Mower blade and performs the removal
of dirt at the same time the Fence Mower
is cutting under the fence. The advanced
design of a tiller/spade mechanical attachment
is a proven solution to the dirt build-up
problem. The dirt removal attachment loosens
up the soil to a depth of four inches,
and spreads it three inches to each side
of the fence line. The attachment breaks
down the soil and spreads the loose material
to both sides of the fence line by using
its unique design and centrifugal force.
The dirt removal attachment removes the
build up at a rate of up to 150 pounds
of dirt per minute.

the dirt removal actually taking place.
It also offers remarkable after completion
views of a fence line that had not been
taken care of for 8 years. It looks like
a brand new fence line after the Fence
Mower cut and removed the excess dirt.
The
Fence Mower is an agricultural implement
that attaches to a tractor using a three
point category one hitch. Using the PTO
of the tractor the Fence Mower offers
a generous twenty three inch cutting swath
and rides just five and three quarter
inches off the ground. The mower has a
swing away feature which allows the operator
to drive parallel to the fence line and
when a fence post is encountered, the
swing away arm negotiates around the post
and repositions itself after clearing
the post.
The
dirt removal attachment is shipped with
all Fence Mower models.
